How long will it take to install my window coverings once I have ordered them?
We either custom make your order ourselves or order in from fellow Australian manufacturers so allow 4-6 weeks as a rule of thumb.

How do I clean my window coverings?
Plantation Shutters simply require a wipe over with a damp cloth sorts most cleaning issues. Venetians are fiddly which probably explains the decline in popularity. For fabric blinds, a regular dust with the brush attachment fixed to the vacuum cleaner works well and spot marks can be dabbed off with a baby wipe or gently rubbed with an art eraser. We recommend that curtains are taken to the dry cleaners to be cleaned but always check the care label first. Alternatively, contact a local cleaning company who will take away your blinds and return them fresh and clean.

How do plantation shutters open so I can access a window?
Most panels are installed so that they can move, nearly all are hinged so think cupboard door. Sliding or bi-fold systems will move to access windows.

I’m concerned about child safety.
So are we! We are very aware of the hazards surrounding child safety and window coverings and believe the less cords the better. Plantation Shutters and motorised blinds are great for children’s rooms. We like putting locks our aluminium plantation shutters so windows can be left open with no chance of escape. Blinds with chains and cords will always be fixed with child safety devices, no exceptions.

What do you recommend for sliding doors?
We’re a big fan of automated roller blinds for doorways as they are mostly tucked up out of the way, allowing air to flow from inside the house to outside. Automation removes the need for chains for an uncluttered look and are great where space is tight. However, if there are multiple issues to address such as privacy and heat, sliding plantation shutters are also a firm favourite. Designed so nearly all the weight is held by the pelmet system, we can eliminate floor tracks with a discrete floor guide.

I need to reduce noise in my home, what do you suggest?
For internal blinds the best way to help reduce noise is the day and night blind (Dual Roller Blinds) as this is a has 2 blinds to reduce the noise. For Outdoor Noise reduction we suggest Roller Shutters as the shutters have insulation qualities helping reduce noise.

How long are the shutters warranted for?
The shutters are warranted for 10 years from date of installation, against warping, bending, fading or chipping.

We have a semi-circular window that needs a shutter. Can you supply such a shape?
Yes we can supply many designs, including fan top, arch, rake, corner, bay window as well as track systems.
